I used to be obsessed with Boxing Kitten designs back in the day, and after this shoot I think FabroSanz has revived my obsession for ethnic tribal prints. Although historical African clothing was predominantly animal skin, the evolution of African clothes isn’t really clear. But once fabric was used as clothing women would decorate it with various patterns as a way of identifying different tribes. And I guess it’s safe to assume that that’s where “African attire” originates from.
